Silver has endless artistic potential. Over the past three decades, Dutch silversmiths have been pushing the boundaries of this material, in a quest that has produced some astounding results. Since the 1990’s silver has increasingly been used as a means of artistic expression. The exhibition features over 140 objects and utensils of Dutch silver art. Four items made by Maja Houtman are included in this exhibition: Tuutin, Tuutuit, Levitatem and Disco Ericio.
A book entitled Zilverkunst in Nederland/ Silver Art in the Netherlands is published in conjunction with the exhibition.
