Inspiration: Porzellan 2017

Suma exclusives, a cooperation of ceramist Susanne Bauer and goldsmith Maja Houtman, joined in Inspiration : Porzellan 2017 organized by Keramikmuseum Westerwald. 35 Artists were selected to participate. Three objects, two pendants and one necklace, were  selected for the exhibition.

A necklace with a large ball of bisquite porcelain, combined with blackened silver. The porcelain globe made in the workshop of Susanne Bauer was wound with fine silver wires by Maja Houtman, resulting in an extremely delicate jewelery object.

A second necklace of bisquite porcelain started with a silver filigree flower made by Maja Houtman and was supplemented by Susanne Bauer with small porcelain disks, which act like pistils, and one porcelain cone. A mysterious flowering plant was created.

For the third necklace Susan Bauer was inspired by a small, hand-crafted filigree silver particle by Maja Houtman. Starting with this link, Susanne Bauer added flower-like, hand-formed bisquitic porcelain links.
